While the U.S. economy continues to post strong hiring numbers, economic uncertainty and news of layoffs persist — prompting many professionals to carefully consider their best next career move. That’s where our 7th annual LinkedIn Top Companies list can help, highlighting companies that set you up for long-term career success.

The list highlights the 50 best U.S. workplaces to grow your career right now, looking at how employees are advancing both within a company and when they leave, as well as how they’re upskilling while employed there. We also look deeper, considering factors like tenure, attrition and layoffs. Companies that have laid off 10% or more of their workforce over the past 15 months are not eligible. (Some companies on the list have faced layoffs below that threshold — and in our supporting coverage, we look at what to consider before taking a job at an affected employer.)
